Breaking the cycle of
homelessness, poverty,
and domestic violence.
We guide homeless families toward self-sufficiency by providing housing, empowerment training and family support that helps them regain and sustain permanent housing and stability.
The Need
Over 500,000 children live in poverty stricken families.
20% (111,592) of people experiencing homelessness are children

Families with children make up 33% of the total homeless population.
87% of homeless families say the lack of affordable housing is the primary cause of their homelessness.

Domestic Violence is the second most frequently stated cause of homelessness.
Current high school graduation rate for homeless children is less than 20% of the national average

How We Help
Life skills workshops include financial coaching, home/auto maintenance, parenting, career coaching, and health & wellness.
The on-site after school program focuses on values, virtues, good decision-making, positive attitudes, giving back, high standards of behavior and sound principles to carry with them for a lifetime.
Our freestanding Early Childhood Development Center provides a safe, stable, nurturing environment for children 6 weeks – 4 years that is necessary for developmental achievement.
We provide families that transition into their own home the opportunity to continue to participate in life skills classes, assistance connecting with community resources and continued care of the children in the family in our after school program and in the child development center.
